Editing, moving & deleting a device

From the Devices list, open a device to edit it:

• Rename or change its location label any time.
• Connection settings — adjust the protocol-specific conn fields (e.g. Modbus ID, poll interval). Changes take effect on the next read cycle.
• Reassign to a gateway — for gateway-mediated devices, move it under a different gateway.
• Tags — add, rename, or remove measurements. Re-point any widgets that referenced a renamed tag.

Deleting a device is a soft delete (status -1): it stops ingesting and disappears from lists. Deleting a device frees a slot against your plan's max_devices.
