Pick sensors in the UI with automatic pin-conflict checks, provision Wi-Fi, and the gateway pulls its config from the cloud. Wired Ethernet (W5500) or dual-NIC: Wi-Fi to the cloud, Ethernet to the PLC. Gateways chain parent → child when only one has an uplink.
Every direct device gets its own broker credentials and ACL on TLS :8883. Anything stuck behind a firewall can POST JSON over HTTPS instead — bearer token or an HMAC-SHA256 signature of the body, your choice — and readings land on dashboards the same second.
A monitor is an uptime check that lives beside your devices. Synacl either probes it on a schedule (HTTP or TCP) or waits for it to check in — pick that one for anything behind a router you don't control. Same alerts, same availability history.

Every tag carries a multiply-or-divide scale factor and an offset, typed exactly as the datasheet lists it. Edit scaling on a saved tag without re-adding it; gateway devices get the change pushed automatically. Per-tag alert thresholds turn the device dot yellow before a rule ever fires.
Drag widgets onto a grid, bind them to tags, and they move with the plant — needles sweep, tanks fill, pumps spin. Or draw the process itself on a mimic canvas and watch flow animate through the pipes.
Rocker switches, illuminated buttons, rotary knobs and selector switches send commands to the device they're bound to. Every widget renders in light and dark, from the same tag binding as a plain chart.
Drop pumps, valves, tanks, gauges and status lights on a free-form canvas, drag pipes between connection points, and bind each symbol to its own device and tag. Flow speeds up as the value rises.
A GPS-equipped gateway plots its trail on the map-track widget — trucks, gensets, hire equipment.
Combine tags with a formula, downsample noisy streams with mean / min / max / sum over a window, and unit-convert or smooth before display.
Threshold rules and event-triggered rules run actions in the cloud or on the gateway itself. When a webhook endpoint answers 502, you get an Action Failed event with the status — never a silent success.
Severity, cooldown and scope stop alert storms. Each failing action is recorded at most once a minute, so a dead endpoint can't bury your event log. Monthly action quotas are per plan.
Operators >, <, between, outside, change; scope one device, a group, or all. Or fire when a job finishes, a device drops offline, or a gateway comes back — no threshold needed.

A drilling operation, a genset run, a batch. Press Start on the machine's job profile; Synacl records start and end readings, everything in between, and turns it into a PDF, CSV or Excel report with the gaps marked honestly. Job events fire rules like any reading. Gateways keep job boundaries even if the uplink drops mid-run.
