• Telemetry — numeric measurements (temperature, voltage…). Drives charts and gauges. Retained per your plan.
• Events — discrete facts: device/online, device/offline, faults, system notices. Shown in the Events feed.
• Alerts — threshold breaches produced by your rules. Delivered via the action types you configured.

Telemetry streams live to dashboards; events and alerts also push in real time. See the event types reference for the full list.
