What is a "tenant"?

A tenant is your isolated account space. Every device, gateway, dashboard, rule, and measurement belongs to your tenant and is invisible to other accounts.

You'll see the term in technical contexts (MQTT topics, limits like max_tenant_msgs_per_sec). For day-to-day use, "tenant" just means "your account." See the glossary.
