Connect your first gateway

A gateway bridges your field devices (RS485/Modbus sensors, GPIO, etc.) to Synacl over MQTT.

  1. Open Gateways → Add gateway and follow the self-service flasher to load firmware onto your ESP32. See flash an ESP32.
  2. Provision it with your Wi-Fi credentials — the gateway registers itself and appears in your list. See provision Wi-Fi.
  3. Add devices under the gateway; their telemetry starts flowing to your dashboards.

A gateway shows online within ~90 seconds of its first message. If it stays offline, see device shows offline.
