Managing your subscription
Everything about an auto-renewing plan lives under Settings → Plan & Billing.
What you'll see
- Auto-renewal — the current state of your subscription.
- Next charge — the date the next payment will be collected.
- Renews on — when your current access runs to.
The state is one of:
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| On | Healthy. You'll be charged on the next charge date. |
| Starting | Your mandate is authorised and the first payment is being collected. |
| Retrying | A payment didn't go through and we're retrying. Your plan is still working. |
| Failed | Repeated attempts failed. Your plan reverts to Free when the current period ends. |
| Ending | You cancelled. You keep the plan until the date shown, then revert to Free. |
| Cancelled | No further charges will be made. |
Cancelling
Select Cancel auto-renewal. This stops future charges only — you keep your plan until the end of the period you've already paid for, and there's no refund of the current period because you continue to get it.
After that date your account reverts to the Free plan. If you're over the Free plan's limits at that point, the grace period applies rather than an immediate cut-off, so you get time to bring your usage down.
To start renewing again, go back to Pricing and check out with Renew automatically on.
Changing plans while subscribed
To move to a different plan, check out on the new plan from Pricing. Your existing subscription is cancelled at the end of its cycle and the new one takes over, so you're never charged twice for the same period.
Updating your card
Use the link in any payment-retry email we send, or cancel and re-subscribe with the new card. Your existing plan is unaffected while you do this.
