My gateway won't provision

  1. Wi-Fi credentials — re-check SSID and password; the gateway needs a 2.4 GHz network on most ESP32 boards.
  2. Internet reachability — the network must reach the internet (no captive portal/login page).
  3. Re-flash — if flashing was interrupted, re-flash the firmware and try again.
  4. Power — use a solid USB power source; brownouts during Wi-Fi connect cause failures.
  5. Wait — a healthy gateway appears within ~90 s of first connecting.
